hola - I helped with the Austin event, but my roots run deep in Dallas!
How about Sherlocks? or the Flying Saucer in Addison? If anyone’s willing to venture - Quarter Bar in Uptown is a good choice.
As for Plano, maybe somewhere around The Shops at Legacy? or The Fillmore off of E 15th.
I’m clearly an alcoholic ha! j/k

Let’s take comments until Tuesday (lunchtime or thereabouts), and then just pick a place based on whatever feedback we’ve got here. Uptown is looking pretty good. I’ll do some hunting.

Alrighty - seems like there’s more interest in Plano/Richardson, which I also prefer. Since this is such late notice, why not move it to Friday? The Fillmore on 15th seems like as good a place as any. Anyone have a problem with 7:30?

Ack! I just saw that you guys met up last night. Damn - I wanted to make it but I didn’t check back in time (my bad). StartupDrinks is interesting but really needs a registration/reminder system. I’m too busy running my startup to remember all this stuff

It was just a couple of us that showed up this time. I’ll try to do a better job of promoting it for the next time (i.e., I’ll announce on news.YC more than a few hours beforehand).

Just as an FYI - there’s a Dallas meetup tonight at Idle Rich. Not specifically startups, but there will be plenty of them there. Just wanted to get to know a bunch of people in the area.
